| ‘길이 8m·무게 10t’ 고래, 해변에서 ‘버둥버둥’ |

The Mexican Navy on Friday (April 13) joined forces with local residents to help a beached whale get back out to sea in the town of Punta Conejo, in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca.
멕시코 해군이 13일(현지 시간) 남부 오악사카 주(州) 푼타 코네호 해변에 쓸려온 고래를 바다로 다시 돌려보내기 위해 지역 주민들과 힘을 합했다.
"It's approximately five years old, and weights between 10 and 12 tons, and 8 metres long," local tourism director Alejandro Sosa said.
“이 고래는 다섯 살쯤 됐으며 길이 8m에 무게는 10~12t 사이”라고 지역 관광 당국자 알레한드로 소사 씨가 말했다.
In a statement, the Navy said that the whale, which had sustained injuries to it's tail fin in the beaching, was able to swim out to sea after being pulled back into the water.
해군은 성명을 통해 해변 쪽으로 쓸려오는 길에 꼬리지느러미에 상처를 입은 이 고래가 다시 물로 끌어당겨주자 바다로 헤엄쳐 갈 수 있었다고 밝혔다.
A force of 40 naval personnel, some of them in boats, participated in the rescue alongside approximately 150 local residents.
해군 장병 40명은 지역 주민 약 150명과 함께 구출 작업을 벌였다.
