Experts say the biggest pink diamond ever to appear at auction is expected to fetch over $8 million U.S. dollars when it is sold at Christie's Magnificent Jewels Spring Sale later this month in Hong Kong. 경매 사상 가장 큰 핑크 다이아몬드가 이달 말 홍콩 크리스티 경매소의 봄 보석 경매에서 800만 달러(약 91억 원) 이상에 판매될 것 같다고 전문가들이 예상했다. ‘마쉰 핑크(Martian Pink)’ 다이아몬드 The 12.04-carat fancy intense pink diamond was purchased by a private collector in 1976. "One of our highlights is the 12.04, brilliant cut, fancy intense pink diamond. It's the largest diamond, round pink diamond, ever to appear in auction history. So why is this pink diamond so out of the ordinary? While most natural pink diamonds have a tinge of purple, grey or orange to them, this stone shows no trace of a secondary colour. 보통 핑크 다이아몬드는 자줏빛이나 회색 빛, 오렌지 빛을 띠는데, 이 다이아몬드는 이차적인 색을 띠지 않는다. "Coloured diamonds are very rare, they don't usually appear, and in order for a pink diamond to be this intense in colour is extremely out of the ordinary.
