Bulgarian archaeologists have discovered two buried men with an iron rods in their chests during excavations in the Black Sea town of Sozopol. 불가리아 고고학자들이 흑해에 면한 도시 소조폴에서 발굴 작업을 하던 중, 가슴에 쇠말뚝이 박힌 채 매장된 남성 시신 2구를 발견했다. The men, who were buried over 800 years ago, were stabbed in the chest and the stomach, as people feared they would raise from the dead as vampires. 800년 전 땅에 묻힌 이 남성 시신 2구의 가슴과 복부에는 쇠말뚝이 박혀 있었다. 즉, 당시 사람들은 이들이 뱀파이어처럼 되살아날 거라고 우려한 것이다.
